Lymphatic Drainage

We are extremely lucky to have been supported in our Lymphatic Drainage treatments by grants form the Pink Ribbon Foundation. We are also lucky to have been donated 3 new mobile machines that chronic case visitors can take home for 4 weeks. With thanks to the South East London Breast Cancer Trust. 

We offer in house Lymphatic drainage Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday – with a free cuppa! Please call reception to book a 45-minute appointment. We are happy to see visitors on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis depending on your need. Regular sessions are proven to be beneficical to those suffering with this common side effect.

We do require GP or consultant approval for this service – you can pop in and get a letter from us or ask one of the breast care nurses at the PRUH.

Lymphoedema is a commonly overlooked complications of breast cancer treatment: 21% of patients develop breast cancer treatment related Lymphoedema.

Lymphoedema can cause discomfort, swelling and pain and can limit the functionality of the affected area. In breast cancer patients these are mostly the chest and arm, hand and fingers. It is very important to seek support from your healthcare team for this condition to limit progression.

You do not need to be referred to come to us but we do require GP approval before we can book you in, so please do check with Reception for the appropriate letter to take and get signed.
