The Primrose Centre - Breast Cancer Support

The Primrose Centre - with you every step of the way

The Primrose Centre was set up in 2010 by our founding CEO Mary Spinks. Mary passed away in 2023 and the Centre is now run entirely by volunteers. We are a registered charity based in Orpington, supporting those who have a breast cancer diagnosis.

We offer access to holistic therapies, lymphatic drainage and support, all are available alongside your medical journey for breast cancer. Our visitors do not need a medical referral and can contact us by telephone, email or by visiting the centre. All visitors must be registered with the Centre and some therapies require consent from a consultant or GP. All the information is available from our wonderful team of receptionists, so please do pop in or call us.

Appointments for treatments and therapies can be arranged to fit around the medical treatment you receive from the NHS. Our monthly coffee morning provides a vital social opportunity for visitors to meet and chat with each other and our volunteers. We are happy to answer any questions you may have, either as a breast cancer patient, family member, local business offering support or a volunteer who may be able to offer a skill or time. We can only do what we do with your support. Every single pound is raised by fundraising and donations.

Our amazing Centre is at the very heart of who we are and what we do and we look forward to welcoming you in person soon.

Coffee Mornings are the second Thursday of the month from 11am

Jonny Meah

Jonny MeahWe are thrilled to introduce our first ever Primrose Centre Ambassador – Jonny Meah.

Jonny is the son of the wonderful Betty Meah who sadly passed away in 2023. She had been a visitor at Primrose for over 11 years.

Jonny is an exciting young presenter. At just 29 years old, he can be heard, every day, on Heart – the biggest commercial radio station in the UK. You may have also seen him on BBC One, presenting on flagship shows such as The One Show and Morning Live, Sunday Morning Live, and Inside Out. On top of this, Jonny has presented a ground-breaking documentary, with millions of views on YouTube, voiced for big names such as ITV, Radio 1, MTV and many more. He also regularly hosts sold out concerts at the biggest arenas in the country, from Wembley to Manchester Arena.

Thank you Jonny for supporting us and we look forward to seeing what this collaboration will bring. Check on our Events page for details of when you might catch Jonny in person!
